Most plastic wine glasses are actually goblets, where the rim of the glass is no less narrow than the widest part of the bowl. A true wine glass has a bowl with a narrowing aperture to concentrate the aromas of the wine and enhance the flavour. But this shape requires blow moulding – easy to do in glass but not many can do it in plastic (in this case Tritan - a BPA-free co-polyester).
