To get a true bowl shape – with the rim diameter narrower than the widest part of the bowl – glass has to be blow moulded. This is a specialised production technique and very few manufacturers can do it in unbreakabale plastic. In addition to the wonderful shape of this glass and its inherent unbreakability, it is also very finely made, with delicate-looking features just like real glass.
