Plastic Smoothie Cups (PET)
Regalzone has four main sizes of disposable plastic smoothie cups but we can get other sizes on demand. There are dome lids and flat lids to fit each size. They come in cases of 1000. They are all made from a type of plastic called PET - the same as fizzy drinks bottles. This means that they are easily recyclable throughout the UK.
PET is not the cheapest plastic to make smoothie cups from (which is why it is the only type readily accepted for recycling). However for premium products, its excellent clarity and strength make PET the clear winner for most types of smoothie cups and slush cups. Additionally, we believe PET to be greener choice than PLA in many cases because, although biodegradable smoothie cups are available, they only degrade in specific conditions. So while most biodegradable plastic smoothie glasses end up in the landfill, PET smoothie cups can be easily recycled.
Printing and Branding
Regalzone offers two options for printing on these plastic smoothie cups. The most cost effective method is factory printing. The print can be applied 360 degrees around the cup in full colour. There is a six week lead time for factory printing and minimum quantities apply. Alternatively, we can get quotations for post production printing in the UK. While there are other restrictions, this route does allow for low volumes and shorter lead times while your business grows.
